He is named Mr. Gingko because the patch of orange on his face resembles the leaves of the Gingko tree<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginkgo_biloba#/media/File:GinkgoLeaves.jpg</ref>. This orange patch on his face, as well as his lighter orange color, keeps him from getting confused with the other orange and white cats at the feeder.
