no worries! thought you might've had one since Newcomer's usually only mentioned in that specific thread, but basically:

The Newcomer is a cat that first arrived in the TTKH around the 18th of April, she was first seen by the Chinese chat during the afternoon as she was eating from the bowls outside, but then she came back during the night (7:50PM) for some dinner. She didn't come inside of the feeder the first couple of days she was here, so there wasn't any clear pictures of her then.

 

She officially came inside of the feeder on the 27th of April at 7:11PM, confirming that she is a new cat! The Chinese chat called her 新新子 (New-New-Child, pronounced "Xin-Xin-Zi"), referencing the caretaker's account name 欣欣子 (also pronounced "Xin-Xin-Zi"). Technically, we named her The Newcomer first so it was more so a coincidence that both communities named her something similar (unlike for Brother Styles or Mama Tortoiseshell whose names are based off of their Chinese ones). Around this time, we (Chi+Eng Chat) believed Newcomer was a male because Dress and Tux both threatened her from the feeder (they're usually very male-aggressive) and we didn't exactly see a clear view of her backside. She also looks really similar to Mr. Heartbreak (Dress' ex-husband), which prompted people to believe she's his brother of sorts.

 

Newcomer then went MIA for about two months, coming back at the 16th of June. I believed her to be a clone of Newcomer and not Newcomer herself because when she came back, she was fatter than before and also seemingly has some sort of eye condition to her left eye (it's really obvious in the recording). ChiChat recognized her as Newcomer though but they also sometimes get cats wrong (Slam to Heartthrob and vice versa), so I wasn't super inclined to believing them at the time since Newcomer didn't seem to have anything going on with her left eye back in April. It was around this time that she's confirmed female too, and since it was assumed that Newcomer was a male, I temporarily called her "The Clone (of Newcomer)" to differentiate them. (I was debating on whether to call her "New" and "Comer" to stick to the split names trend thing going on in TTKH, Tux-Edo, Capy-Bara, but then decided it just didn't hit as hard LOL)

 

Newcomer then came back a couple of days later at the 20th of June, this time without anything going on with her left eye, which was confusing so I double checked her coat markings and confirmed that Clone and Newcomer were in fact the same cat. Thus, it is believed that Newcomer is actually just someone's pet cat that they let roam free occasionally (since there has to be someone taking care of her eye, and there's also the fact that she's quite fat too). This isn't confirmed by the caretaker however and is just a theory shared by both fandoms, but I find it quite promising since Caretaker doesn't seem to recognize Newcomer as a local stray cat (they were the one who named Newcomer in Chinese in the first place) and Caretaker practically takes care of all the cats in their area. Plus, the nearby feeder's caretaker (the [https://meow.camera/viewer/#4314716037355262544 feeder] where Dress was found all those months ago) didn't seem to recognize her either.

 

Afterwards, Newcomer came occasionally until the 5th of July, when she was last seen for a long time. I assumed she either was stuck at home (because of the pet cat theory) or that she went to another feeder to snack (since Heartbreak and Capy were both last seen around this time as well).
