Brother wasn't that bothered with being trapped initially, but because his wife was still outside, Brother couldn't bear the pain of being separated from his wife. Brother went into the sack to see if there was any means of escape, while his wife was outside waiting for him. But as the time passed, she eventually left as well. Anxious, Brother went crazy, and started thrashing at the cage, but his wife still didn't show up. Heart so dejected that it felt like dispersing ash, Brother went back into the sack, and watched as the silhouette of his wife left him, with his face tilted 45 degrees upwards, so that his tears won't flow down. As he watched, he fell asleep. Truly, the idiom of "the plumper the person, the bigger their heart" describes Big-Faced Brother perfectly.
