Big Faced Brother is a cat from the Mimi-Chan wants to be happy feeder. He received his name from the Chinese Community, because of his unusually large Tomcat cheeks[1].
BFB has been neutered, and will be adopted alongside his wife once she is able to be neutered.
BFB and his family are generally the only cats to visit their feeder. The rest of the feeders in the area were removed, but fans of the feeder voted for it to remain. This means that the Caretaker and fans alike bring their own food supply to the feeder. The Caretaker also charges the feeder's battery themself.
Behavior
Big Faced Brother is a very loving cat. He cares deeply for his family, especially Small Faced Sister (his wife). In fact, he loves her so much that they are a bonded pair[2], and have had a total of 9 kittens together.
BFB seems to be very chilled out. He can often be seen relaxing at the feeder. The only time he has shown distress is when he was captured for neutering, as he had to be separated from his family.
BFB is notably a big fan of freeze-dried chicken snacks.
Appearance
BFB is a large, shorthaired, brown tabby cat. His most notable feature is the pair of massive cheeks on his face. However, they have gotten a bit smaller since his neutering. BFB has green eyes, and a bit of cream coloured fur on his chest and chin. He has many tabby stripes all over his fur. He has a brown nose.
Sightings
May 2024
- May 13, 2024: The English community became aware of BFB for the first time. They loved the Chinese name so much that it became his English name, too.
- May 15, 2024: At around 08:40 AM (LFT), BFB was seen eating chicken snacks from the feeder.
- May 18, 2024: At around 04:00 PM (LFT), BFB was once again seen eating snacks (his favourite).
- May 19, 2024: At around 04:20 PM (LFT), BFB showed up to the feeder, looking rather soggy. This didn't seem to bother him, however, as he began to happily chow down on some food.
- May 29, 2024: At around 09:20 AM (LFT), BFB was seen being affectionate with his wife (it was very cute). After she left, BFB helped himself to some kibble.
June 2024
- June 02, 2024: BFB was taken to be neutered. Originally, Small Faced Sister was the target for neutering, however this changed to BFB, as SFS is currently still feeding her kittens. BFB was going to be adopted after being neutered, but this plan changed after BFB became very distressed whilst separated from his wife. The new plan is for SFS, once she is ready, to be neutered. BFB and SFS will then be adopted together.
The Caretaker's account of BFB's TNR Capture
So even the winds of TNR have come to Big-Faced Brother. Brother wasn't that bothered with being trapped initially, but because his wife was still outside, Brother couldn't bear the pain of being separated from his wife. Brother went into the sack to see if there was any means of escape, while his wife was outside waiting for him. But as the time passed, she eventually left as well. Anxious, Brother went crazy, and started thrashing at the cage, but his wife still didn't show up. Heart so dejected that it felt like dispersing ash, Brother went back into the sack, and watched as the silhouette of his wife left him, with his face tilted 45 degrees upwards, so that his tears won't flow down. As he watched, he fell asleep. Truly, the idiom of "the plumper the person, the bigger their heart" describes Big-Faced Brother perfectly.
- June 04, 2024: BFB was released back to the feeder, reuniting with his family.
- June 05, 2024: At around 04:27 PM (LFT), BFB showed up at the feeder to eat, and was shortly joined by SFS. After she had left, one of the kittens began to eat alongside BFB. However, the kitten climbed into the feeder and hogged it to himself, leaving BFB unable to eat any more food.
- At around 07:20 PM (LFT), BFB and his family visited the feeder together.
- June 06, 2024: At around 02:30 PM (LFT), BFB and SFS visited the feeder, and ate some food together. After she left, BFB continued eating. He ended up getting snacks all over his head.
- June 07, 2024: At around 04:40 AM (LFT), BFB was seen lying down at the feeder, looking very zen. Shortly after, SFS showed up, and the two greeted each other, happily.
- June 08, 2024: At around 05:00 PM (LFT), BFB came to the feeder with one of his children. He watched as the kitten climbed into the feeder. Soon after, SFS and another of their children showed up. BFB and his wife watched as the other kitten ate from the feeder, after the first one had left. They must be very proud parents.
- At around 11:29 PM (LFT), BFB was spotted relaxing at the feeder.
- June 09, 2024: At around 06:40 PM (LFT), BFB watched over his wife as she ate from the feeder. One of their kittens appeared briefly, and then wandered off screen.
July 2024
- July 1, 2024: At around 3:38 AM (LFT), BFB was spotted munching on kibble for an unknown time. However, he left shortly after.
