Shy Citrine is one of the kittens that had been abandoned near the feeder. He's been adopted into a small cat family that is yet to be documented. Starting off as a singular stray kitten, he is now the big brother to a tiny tortoiseshell and a white kitten.
Behavior
As the name suggests, Shy Citrine is a timid cat. He was quite afraid of the feeder at first but hunger won out. He will try his best to clear out the bowl whenever he finds food. When he first visited, he would bolt away from donations. However, nowadays he will scoot backwards and wait with wide eyes.
He is playful with other kittens and will try and goad them into chasing him.
Appearance
In moments of calm, Shy Citrine looks as though he is constantly on the verge of existential crisis. Regarding his coat, he is an orange mackerel tabby with light paws. He was rather thin upon his first visits but has since gained a healthier weight. He has a little bit left to go though if he wishes to match the likes of Big Boss.

July 2024
- July 22, 2024: 05:10 AM (LFT) Shy Citrine crept up to the feeder after getting spooked multiple times.
- 07:00 AM (LFT) Feeling braver, Shy Citrine returned for more food. He was scared away by chicken being donate.
- July 23, 2024: 08:20 PM (LFT) Shy Citrine returned and had some chicken and kibble for dinner.
- July 24, 2024: 02:58 PM (LFT) Shy Citrine was so hungry he crept halfway into the bowl to eat kibble.
- July 25, 2024: 05:44 PM (LFT) Despite being very afraid, Shy Citrine crept onto the feeder and into the bowl to eat.
- July 26, 2024: 04:36 PM (LFT) Shy Citrine peered around and was startled by kibble. He crept back and ate more food.
- 09:36 PM (LFT) Upon hearing chicken being donated, he hopped onto the feeder and ate chicken.
- July 27, 2024: 12:33 AM (LFT) He returned once more for a helping of chicken.
- July 28, 2024: 06:49 PM (LFT) Shy Citrine had, what appeared to be, an existential crisis at the feeder before finally eating.
- July 29, 2024: 08:41 PM (LFT) After having his fill of kibble, Shy Citrine hopped off the feeder and walked away.
- July 30, 2024: 04:44 PM (LFT) For the first time, Shy Citrine wasn't scared by the feeder when chicken was donated. He happily turned around and ate it. He rested beside the feeder before investigating something unseen.
- July 31, 2024: 08:21 PM (LFT) Shy Citrine hopped into the bowl and ate kibble. He was confused by the chicken that was donated on top of him. He finally left 20 minutes later.
August 2024
- August 01, 2024: 03:59 AM (LFT) Shy Citrine made an appearance and scrounged for kibble.
- August 03, 2024: 10:23 PM (LFT) After failing to find kibble, Shy Citrine shoved his nose directly into the camera.
- August 07, 2024: 08:14 PM (LFT) Citrine ate from the bowl as more chicken was donated. He struggled with one particular piece and was startled as more chicken was donated. Ms. Tangerine peered in for a moment and seemed to be confused by the orange kitten. Shy Citrine puffed up and growled at her.
- August 09, 2024: 07:19 PM (LFT) Shy Citrine was midway through eating and was startled by an unseen cat. He slowly crept back up to the feeder before eating more chicken.
- August 12, 2024: 02:08 AM (LFT) Shy Citrine was seen peering over his shoulder as he ate.
