Careless Mom is a white cat who was from a different feeder and the mom of Soup Dumpling. She possibly got her name from how her child was meowing at her yet she was paying no attention to them and eating instead.

Careless Mom wasn't careless, many videos circulated of her treating her kitten, Soup Dumpling, well. She did appear to care deeply for her little kitten, as she took her everywhere and to the feeder to eat.

After her kitten passed due to the mishandling of a human that adopted her, she appears to be sadder, having red puffy eyes. Careless Mom did not neglect her kitten and as not the reason she passed, little Soup Dumpling deceased directly due to the person that adopted her.
