Mama Play is the suspected mother of Ms. Play and can be found at the 吉他猫一机器猫 (Guitar Cat & Robot Cat) feeder. She went unidentified for several days after the feeder's discovery, due to Auntie looking after Ms. Play and leading viewers to suspect that she was "Mama" Play. After more sightings and further consideration, Mama Play was determined to be the likely biological mother to Ms. Play.
Behavior
Mama Play is a very independent cat. She can be social and friendly with the other cats, although she can be a bit feisty over food. Many attempts to get her to come to the dispenser have gone ignored by the strong female, however, before she learned to love snacks. She can often be seen next to the feeder from the top view, as she watches over Ms. Play, who certainly keeps her busy. When she needs some time to herself, Auntie looks after the baby, grooming her and making sure she doesn't get into any trouble. Mama Play was also spotted being friendly with the caretaker of the feeder, indicating that she trusts them and is taken care of.
Appearance
Mama Play is a Calico cat with a large brown patch down her back, a small orange patch on her left shoulder and white on her sides. She could be described as a Dilute Calico[1].
Sightings
May 2024
- May 12, 2024: Mama Play was first seen at 06:10 AM (LFT) with Ms. Play and Auntie, as they all sleepily got a morning snack. She wasn't identified until a few days, after this initial sighting.
- May 16, 2024: At about 10:37 AM (LFT), Mama Play was spotted saying hello to the caretaker of the feeder with her baby, before trying to sneak away from Ms. Play. She was also seen again in the evening at around 06:08 PM (LFT), getting some dinner at the dispenser.
- May 19, 2024: Mama Play was spotted at the feeder around 08:10 AM (LFT), getting some breakfast before continuing her day.
- May 20, 2024: From the top camera, Mama Play was spotted eating some soft food in a bowl off to the left of the dispenser, at 01:57 AM (LFT.)
- May 21, 2024: Around 9:00 AM (LFT) Mr. Latency and Mama Play were both spotted at the feeder. Mama play took a few bites of kibble and Mr. Latency looked over her shoulder, before she bapped him on the head to tell him to back up. He seemed surprised by the sudden warning bap but retreated slowly, leaving Mama to eat in peace.
- May 28, 2024: At 10:42 AM (LFT) Mama Play was seen with Mr. Latency as he drank some water from beside the dispenser as Mama Play ate her late breakfast of snacks. Mr. Latency stayed back from Mama Play while she ate, having learned his lesson from last time- at least for now.
June 2024
- June 03, 2024: Around 9:47 AM (LFT) Mama Play was recorded getting some late breakfast, happily munching on snacks as a viewer donated some fresh snacks, which landed right on her head; she continued eating.
- June 05, 2024: At 10:48 PM (LFT) Mama Play was spotted getting some kibble for dinner before happily going on her way.
