Mr. Business is a cat from both GOODCAT feeders. He was first sighted on August 20, 2024. Mr. Business was named after his tuxedo coat, as well as his rivalry with Ms. Sales.
Mr. Business is seemingly afraid of everything - however this does not stop him from being a regular visitor to the feeders.
Behavior
Mr. Business is very skittish. He is fearful of both the feeder itself and any cats who approach it. He often jumps back when fresh kibble is dispensed, and likes to survey his surroundings with his ears tilted back.
Mr. Business is also rather afraid of conflict. In a dispute with Ms. Sales, Mr. Business hissed from afar, rather than trying to claim the feeder back. It is rumoured that they may have competing businesses.
Appearance
Mr. Business is a shorthaired cat with a tuxedo coat. He is entirely black from above, resembling Itty Bitty, but can be distinguished by the wark markings on his face and chest.
Mr. Business is rather small in size. This makes his other features appear quite large, such as his ears. He can often be seen with wide, dilated eyes. He also has a light pink nose.
Early Life and Career
Mr. Business was born on July 2, 1976 in Abilene, Texas. In 1994, he graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene. He studied Finance at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1998. In 2000, he began his career in finance with the investment banking firm Lehman Brothers, and moved to New York City to work in their World Trade Center office. On September 11, Mr. Business escaped from his office on the 40th floor of the North Tower unharmed. He continued to work for Lehman Brothers until the firm collapsed on September 15, 2008; left with no security net and few prospects due to the ongoing Great Recession, Mr. Business worked a variety of odd jobs before being hired by Morgan Stanley Huaxin Securities in 2015 and moving to China to work in their Beijing office. Today, he resides in Beijing and continues to work for Morgan Stanley Huaxin Securities (now known as Morgan Stanley Investment Management China).
Mr. Business asserts that, despite his tumultuous career, the scariest day of his life was when Ms. Sales stormed the GOODCAT feeder and ate all of the present chicken snacks, a moment immortalized in the gif shown in the next section.
Sightings
August 2024
- August 20, 2024: At around 11:30 PM (LFT), Mr. Business first appeared at GOODCAT 1. He began to eat from the feeder, but was rather taken aback by the falling kibble. He would continue to eat, pausing often to survey his surroundings.
- August 23, 2024: At around 10:30 PM (LFT), Mr. Business came to eat at GOODCAT 1. Like his first appearance, he was very skittish, jumping back when more kibble was dropped. He spent some time whipping his head around, and moving his ears to try and tune in to the sounds around him.
- August 24, 2024: At around 05:55 AM (LFT), Mr. Business took a trip to GOODCAT 2. Whilst waiting for food, Ms. Sales jumped down from the nearby wall and usurped his position. Mr. Business hissed at her, but moved over to the side in fear. They spent some time standing there, hissing and yowling at each other. However, none of this was enough to persuade Ms. Sales to give the feeder back.
- August 27, 2024: At 6:27 AM (LFT), Mr. Business was seen drinking water from the cup inside the feeder. Snacks were dropped soon after, and he happily began eating. Kibble was later dropped for him as well, which he ate most of. At 6:35, Mr. Business heard a noise and quickly turned behind him to watch. A minute later, a big dog, who was on a leash, being walked by its owner, ran toward the feeder and scared Mr. Business away. The dog's owner was quickly able to regain control of the dog and got it away from the feeder, but it was too late; Mr. Business was gone for good.
- At 10:33 PM (LFT) Mr. Business showed up at the GOODCAT Freeze-dried feeder. He ate a little bit of the food, but spent a lot of time looking outside. He left after 5 minutes.
September 2024
- September 02, 2024: At around 9:50 AM (LFT), Mr. Business was seen eating for around 10 minutes at GOODCAT 2,while occasionally looking behind himself. At 10:00 AM, Mr. Business dashed away.
- September 10, 2024: At around 10:50 PM (LFT), Mr. Business approached GOODCAT 2, whilst Mr. Domino was there. Despite Mr. Domino letting Business have his turn, Mr. Business hissed at him, causing Domino to leave.
- September 11, 2024: At around 10:09 PM (LFT), Mr. Business was eating at GOODCAT 2, checking his surroundings and making silly faces. He was undisturbed during this feast.
