Mr. Dive is a black and white cat seen at Stray Cat Love Station. He is the feeder's only kitten; it is unknown if he is related to any of the other cats at the feeder. He is not often seen in the feeder itself. However, he is very often seen running around the shelter, playing with the rainbow tunnel and with other cats. His name comes from his love of diving at the rainbow tunnel to tackle cats that are near it. He was first sighted by the global community on August 11, 2024.

Behavior

Mr. Dive is a very hyper cat. He can often be seen on the back camera, running around the shelter and roughhousing with other cats, especially Ms. Side Bangs, Mr. Honey, Mr. Boba, and Mr. Splodge. He enjoys diving at the rainbow tunnel when cats are behind it. The other cats at the feeder have taken a liking to him, and treat him like a little brother. He may annoy them at times, but they do love him.

Mr. Dive can hardly hold still for long enough to hang out inside the feeder. Most of the time, when he does show up to the feeder, he simply eats and leaves. While he does love chicken snacks, he is far less picky than many of the other cats at the feeder, and will readily eat both. As a younger kitten, he used to sit inside the bowl when he ate; now that he's a little older, he eats like the adult cats. When other cats are eating, he will try to eat as well, and it takes a lot of (gentle) swatting from other cats to keep him from trying to stick his head in.

He is one of four cats (along with Ugly Orange, Matchmaker and Ms. Side Bangs) who are seen to have the ability to scale the wall and hang on to the window's grate. As he is still small, his attempts to reach the window don't always succeed, and he mainly just hangs on to the bottom of the window to ambush cats from above while playing.

Appearance

Mr. Dive is one of two black and white cats at the feeder (the other is Mr. Boba). The sections of black and white are spread out all over him. His face has similar coloring to Mr. Boba; there is black fur over his left eye but not his right. He has a little black blotch right underneath his mouth. His back is mostly black with some white spots. His front legs are mostly white with a black blotch at the bottom of each, near his paws. His back legs are mostly black. His underside is white, and his tail is black.

Sightings

August 2024

August 11, 2024: Around 7:45 AM (LFT), Mr. Dive was seen running around and playing with Mr. Honey and Mr. Boba.
August 25, 2024: At 9:56 AM (LFT), Mr. Dive showed up to the feeder while Mr. Honey was attempting to dig a chicken snack out from under the bowl. Mr. Dive assisted him in his endeavors, the two cats sticking their arms under the bowl to reach the chicken snack, until snacks were dropped. Mr. Honey went to eat the dropped snacks, and Mr. Dive left the feeder.
August 27, 2024:
- Around 12:20 AM (LFT), Mr. Dive was seen trying to play with Squidward’s tail; Squidward moved his tail, annoyed, after both attempts.
- At 12:38 AM (LFT), Mr. Dive could be seen playing around the rainbow tunnel with Mr. Honey. At one point, Mr. Honey flopped onto the tunnel, then hid from Mr. Dive behind it; Mr. Dive dove at the tunnel and tacked Mr. Honey underneath it. The two then roughhoused and chased each other around for a while.
- At 2:07 AM (LFT), Mr. Dive entered the feeder, sniffed the bowl for a second, then left.
- At 7:34 AM (LFT), Mr. Dive was seen sitting at the edge of the feeder, looking outside, waiting to playfully ambush a cat.

August 28, 2024: At 10:47 AM (LFT), Mr. Dive entered the feeder and tried to eat while Mr. Honey was eating. Mr. Honey nipped at Mr. Dive’s ear, but Mr. Dive was unphased by this and started eating. As a result of this, Mr. Honey left the feeder. Mr. Dive continued eating, and kibble and snacks were dropped for him. When snacks were dropped, Ms. Side Bangs got up from where she was laying, along the back of the feeder, and stuck her head in to eat with him. He ignored her, and she soon swatted him out of the bowl. For the next 30 seconds, Mr. Dive would try to eat over and over, and Ms. Side bangs would casually swat him and nip at him each time. Mr. Dive then sat back and watched Ms. Side Bangs eat. He left the feeder a minute later.

August 29, 2024: At 1:12 AM (LFT), Mr. Dive entered the feeder and ate some kibble. He left at 1:14.

August 30, 2024: At 3:24 AM (LFT), Mr. Dive was seen scaling the wall and hanging on to the bottom half of the window. When Mr. Splodge ran over to the window, Mr. Dive dropped down on top of him. At 3:51, Mr. Dive entered the feeder to eat and left a minute later.
