Mr. Apricot is a cat who has been spotted at both GOODCAT feeders. He is named due to his wide eyes looking like halved Apricots, as well as his orange coat. This feline hasn't warmed up to the other cats that visit the feeder, and is often the target of Mr. Jazzy's menacing songs and attacks. That is not to say he is innocent though, as he can often be heard growling/hissing at the other cats that dare to approach his food.
Behavior
Mr. Apricot is a very skittish cat, jumping and backing away from snacks and kibble as they drop. He is also seen hissing at other cats, but hopefully he will warm up to them soon enough. Mr. Apricot seems to prefer snacks over kibble, but will happily eat up both- although he is notably a bit less gluttonous than other GOODCATS.
Appearance
Mr. Apricot is a shorthaired orange cat with white on his front paws, chin, and chest. He is average to large sized, and has amber eyes that often look like an Apricot with the pit. He is often seen with airplane ears and a very concerned/worried expression.
Sightings
July 2024
- July 05, 2024: Mr. Apricot first appeared at GOODCAT around 3:25 AM (LFT). On his first appearance, he appeared very scared at everything, jumping when fresh kibble was dispensed. Nevertheless, Mr. Apricot ate up the kibble before running off.
- Around 9:16 PM (LFT) On his second appearance, Mr. Apricot visited GOODCAT2. He was very skittish but happily devoured some fresh chicken snacks that a gracious viewer donated. As the snacks fell, Mr. Apricot took care to move out of the way, a bit concerned at the falling food, but was very grateful for the snacks.
- July 07, 2024: At around 12:09 AM (LFT) Mr. Apricot visited GOODCAT2, much to Mr. Jazzy's dismay- which he promptly sang very loudly about. As Mr. Jazzy sat atop the feeder, Mr. Apricot ate some fresh kibble and snacks donated by a viewer. After a while of feasting, he went about his day.
- Mr. Apricot came back to GOODCAT2 around 5:00AM for some more food. He very quickly ran off after some growling and hissing from an unseen cat (suspected to be Mr. Jazzy)
- July 08, 2024: Once again, Mr. Apricot visited GOODCAT2 around 12:38 AM (LFT) staying a bit longer than previous times. Still looking concerned as ever, he waited patiently for some snacks (which a gracious viewer provided) and growled while eating. It is suspected that another cat was nearby/on top of the feeder.
- He once again came back to GOODCAT2 around 08:24 PM (LFT) contemplating and worrying about all the evil in the world for around 20 minutes, all while he munched. To end the night, Mr. Jazzy chased off Mr. Apricot with lightning fast speed.
- July 09, 2024: At around 10:00 PM (LFT), Mr. Apricot was seen at GOODCAT 2, investigating a small cloth which had been left there. He seemed very confused.
- July 10, 2024: At around 08:05 PM (LFT), Mr. Apricot was eating at GOODCAT 2. He was jumpscared by some kibble falling, but returned to eating. Mr. Domino would then slowly approach and try to sniff Mr. Apricot. He was not happy about this, forcing Mr. Domino to run away. Shortly after this, Mr. Apricot began looking around with an anxious expression on his face. Growling was heard coming from the feeder. History repeated itself that day, as Mr. Jazzy suddenly jumped down and chased Mr. Apricot away.
- At around 10:55 PM (LFT), Mr. Apricot was seen eating happily at GOODCAT 2.
(Not every cat sighting is documented.)
