Ms. Pegmatite is a female cat from the Eat Enough Every Day(每天都能吃饱饱) feeder, first sighted on April 25, 2024 and named for her resemblance to Pegmatite, a type of igneous rock with dark ‘spots’ or ‘patches’. She is one of the regulars of the feeder and is mother to the Minerals. She was first thought to be a male until she flashed her nipple to the camera on June 2, 2024 after scaring off Cinder (one of The Sparks), and the community suspected she may have kittens. On June 7, 2024 she brought her kittens, the Minerals to the feeder and monopolized it.

As of 11th June 2024 she is seen patrolling the feeder, eating from it and sometimes seen sitting on top of the feeder as she watches over her kittens.

Behavior

Pegmatite is a cunning, cold and resourceful cat and is usually seen to be alert, looking around her while eating. She was first seen to be impolite on June 1st, 2024, 6:59 pm LFT when she jumped over Ms Ember and her kitten Ash to eat from the feeder, not wanting to wait her turn. The next day she intimidated Cinder out of the feeder to eat. On June 7th after she was scared by one of the Sparks from behind, she brought in her four kittens and monopolized the entire feeder, barring any other cat from feeding from it, and likely chasing off Ms Ember and the Sparks from her new territory as they were not seen there since.

Ever since that incident she has been seen patrolling the feeder while her kittens lounged inside, showing her territorial nature. She was also once seen lightly smacking one of her kittens who played with her tail, showing that she’s a strict mother who is keen on disciplining her kids. However she seems to be a hardworking and caring mother as her decision to monopolize the feeder has earned her family many benefits. They have received exquisite treatment from the caretaker- like a new sleeping mat, more kibble, meat and even churu. The feeder acts as shelter from the rain, and they have a surplus amount of food and water, helping her kittens prosper.

She does not seem scared of humans as she was seen running up to the caretaker when they visited.

As of June 17th she seems to have allowed cats such as Mr. Freckles and Ms. Ember to feed from the feeder, although they do seem cautious whenever they are present.

Appearance

Pegmatite has light yellow-green eyes, pink nose, black patches on her head surrounding her ears, one small black patch on her left shoulder, two large oval shaped black patches on her back, a fully black tail, the rest of her body being white. Her bicolor fur pattern is known as a ‘Harlequin’.
