Cousin Chill is a white cat first spotted June 5, 2024 at the Huanzi Animal Rescue Base 1 (欢子动物救援基地1号) feeder by the global community.
Behavior
Cousin Chill was first observed sitting calmly for around five minutes straight until confronted by The Guardian for daring to sit in their spot. Cousin Chill sulked about this.
Cousin Chill seems to be a relaxed individual otherwise as well. He is not disturbed by other cats entering the feeder with him. Even when he is not inside the feeder, he can often be seen on camera, as he likes to relax on the ground right outside of the feeder.
Appearance
Cousin Chill is a soft, round white cat. They often sit with their tail between their paws. They bear a resemblance to Brother Calm and Cousin Peace as all three are round-faced, calm white cats. Their name is derived from this.
Sightings
June 2024
- June 5, 2024: 02:20 AM (LFT) Cousin Chill checked the feeder and sat in The Guardian's spot. He was scolded for this and moved to the other side of the feeder. Once the Guardian left, he returned to the favored spot.
July 2024
- July 14, 2024:
- At 11:28 AM (LFT), Cousin Chill was seen trying to reach the food stuck under the broken feeder. When he got tired of this, he sat along the back of the feeder, waiting for food to come out. When none did, he tried to reach the stuck food one more time before leaving the feeder and sitting off to the side. When Mr. Socks entered soon after, and food was dispensed for him shortly after he entered, Cousin Chill laid down a ways from the feeder, defeated.
- At 7:32 PM (LFT), Cousin Chill reentered the feeder to eat. While there, another cat entered the feeder with him. This cat, who normally shooes other cats out of the feeder so he can eat, thought about and half-tried to disturb Cousin Chill, sniffing his butt and pawing at him. However, when he felt Cousin Chill's massively strong chill aura, he realized his efforts would be futile and chose to sit and wait for Cousin Chill to be done eating. Cousin Chill left the feeder at 7:36.
- July 15, 2025:
- At around 11:45 am (LFT), Cousin Chill was seen laying down in front of the feeder, obstructing it. This did not seem to bother any other cats until Mr. Socks approached attempting to grab a snack. He moved carefully around Cousin Chill, who remained completely unbothered and did move, but only to readjust his sleeping position. Mr. Socks opted to approach from the other side of the feeder, if with some difficulty, clearly trying not to accidentally step on Cousin Chill. Once done eating, Mr. Socks performed an impressive leap over Cousin Chill, who remained asleep.
