Edamame (毛豆) is a small dog who stays at Warm Home Pet Sales Department. The shelter named him after a Japanese dish involving beans. He was found on a street abandoned and with a broken leg, which was saved in surgery.
Behavior
Most of the time, Edamame is a friendly and active dog. He loves humans and will happily be pet or picked up. Due to his friendly nature, he was even brought to a convention with a few other dogs to advertise the shelter. With other dogs, he is mostly friendly but can sometimes be protective of food. He enjoys long naps, particularly curled up inside the feeder.
Appearance
Edamame is a small orange dog with yellow/white markings. The markings cover his underbelly, back legs, and up from his chest to his black eyes. His tail is fluffy and curled. His orange short-haired coat and large pointed ears make him easily recognizable.

July 2024
- July 15, 2024: At 2:04 AM (LFT), Edamame visited the feeder.
August 2024
- August 26, 2024: At 11:03 AM (LFT), Edamame visited the feeder.
- August 30, 2024: At 11:32 AM (LFT), Edamame squeezed in beside a white fluffy dog to steal her snacks. They pushed each other out of the way to get there quicker. The other dog then pushed Edamame out of the way, making him angry and growl slightly. He quickly ran away afterward.
September 2024
- September 9, 2024: At 1:22 AM (LFT), Edamame visited the feeder.
- September 10, 2024: At 5:10 PM (LFT), Edamame curled up inside the feeder to watch his surroundings. He left at 5:23 PM.
- September 28, 2024:
- At 1:17 AM (LFT), Edamame crunched on some kibble.
- At 3:26 AM (LFT), Edamame stood in the feeder and watched for any snacks that could be dispensed. Later, he decided to curl up and sleep.
- At 4:48 AM (LFT), Edamame curled up in the feeder to have a very long nap. At 6:42 AM, he briefly woke up and had a bite of kibble before falling back asleep. At 8:26 AM, Edamame finally got up and walked away.
- At 7:55 PM (LFT), Edamame sniffed around the feeder. Food was dispensed, but he was more interested in something going on in the courtyard, so he left.
- At 9:29 PM (LFT), Edamame climbed into the feeder and sat down, contemplating eating some food. By 10:09 PM, Edamame had fallen asleep inside the feeder.
- September 29, 2024:
- At 3:57 PM (LFT), Edamame joined a white fluffy dog at the feeder and started eating the kibble. The other dog left, causing Edamame confusion as he watched her leave. After a few seconds, he returned to his meal.
- At 9:46 PM (LFT), Edamame ate a large portion of food while a white fluffy dog was curled up behind him. Viewers dropped snacks on his head. Afterward, he waited to see if he would get more snacks, but gave up waiting and left at 10:00 PM.
- At 11:12 PM (LFT), Edamame stood at the feeder while staring at a dog barking loudly.
- September 30, 2024:
- At 1:21 AM (LFT), Edamame curled up in the feeder and watched the room, trying not to fall asleep.
- At 2:54 PM (LFT), Edamame curled up in the feeder and watched something from the other side of the courtyard.
- At 4:14 PM (LFT), Edamame ate a large portion of snacks while glancing around every so often at the commotion the other dogs were making. At 4:14 PM, a white fluffy dog climbed into the feeder and curled up, which Edamame ignored in favor of finishing off the snacks.
- At 6:57 PM (LFT), Edamame ate from the food bowl beside a fluffy white dog and Ms. Drip. He was quick to leave after having his full, allowing the other dogs to eat.
