Mr. Shatei, one of the kitties found at the Team BingBing Helps Stray Cats Find Their Forever Home feeder, is named following the structure of the Japanese Yakuza, shatei, referring to the term for 'Little Brothers' or the people of lowest rank. He was bestowed the rank/name due to his interesting appearance, appearing youthful, and sort of, not 100% at the feeder in his mind.

Behavior
Shatei is known to generally be a relaxed cat, sitting around the feeder looking to hang out with other cats, or laying down vying for the company of the others.
He also makes an effort to eat in a strange way when eating kibble, using his paw to drag away individual pieces of kibble from the feeder bowl onto the floor, rather than directly using his mouth to eat. The special way he eats is likely due to him having some of his teeth removed to treat stomatitis, which prompts him to be extra careful when eating hard food, like kibble.
Appearance
His appearance in generally, very striking. His face looks like he is stuck in the middle of a state of constipation, or blatant hesitation, permanently. Otherwise, it is said that he looks high. Terming him one of the 'high' cats of the feeder. His whole body is white, other than the two patches on the top of his head, stationed at his ears that resembles a bowl-cut, and a singular dot on his torso.
Sightings
April 2024
- April 25, 2024: Shatei was first spotted around Feeder 2 around 01:50PM (LFT), staring into the feeder bowl, however he quickly left after, only a singular screenshot documenting his appearance.
- April 30, 2024: Making an appearance at Feeder 1, around 05:10AM (LFT), Shatei was looking extremely high off of life, staring into the depths of the feeder, presumably waiting for the other cat feasting on the snacks in the feeder to finish their eating trip.
May 2024
- May 06, 2024: Appearing at Feeder 3, Mr. Shatei was seen accompanying Mr. Boss at 1:38AM (LFT). Again, staring into the feeder bowl while Mr. Boss appeared discontent with Shatei's presence at the feeder while he was napping.
- May 07, 2024: Again, appearing at 12:51AM (LFT) sleeping at the corner of Feeder 3, he was seen observing the other cats who came to eat from the feeder bowl. However, not eating with them.
- May 14, 2024: Finally spotted eating, instead of watching other cats eat, Shatei was spotted at Feeder 2 alone, and using his paw to drag single individual pieces of kibble out of the feeder, towards himself, eating not from the feeder, but from the floor. Pure Insanity. This was around 12:57PM (LFT).
- May 19, 2024: Sitting at Feeder 3 at 09:15PM (LFT), Shatei was spotted napping outside of the feeder, using the feeder floor as a pillow to prop up his head. It seems that he was accompanying Mr. Boss, who was sleeping in the feeder, but was trying his best to obey Boss's boundaries.
- May 22, 2024: Mr. Shatei again, made an appearance at Feeder 3 around 02:28AM (LFT), sitting and waiting his turn to enter the feeder as Mr. Boss was seen sleeping around the feeder yet again. When he was eventually able to sit at the feeder, he began to eat by using his paw to drag the food to himself yet again. He stayed at the feeder for a bit, sleeping and eventually waking up in the morning to eat again. He then did the same thing he does to eat, using his paw to drag food out onto the feeder floor.
- May 24, 2024: Spotted around Feeder 3 at 11:23AM (LFT), Shatei was seen lounging around, until the feeder eventually filled up with cats. He did not seem like he was having a good time as other cats began to crawl around and onto him.
June 2024
- June 19-20, 2024: Perhaps feeling at home or being a lazybones, Shatei spent nearly the entire night hanging around Feeder 3. During the evening around 7:00 PM (LFT) on June 19th Shatei was seen pawing at kibbles due to the lack of chicken snacks. He then lounged in the feeder watching other cats pass by. At 2:50 AM on June 20th Shatei was still lounging in the feeder while other cats peacefully stepped around him to eat kibble.
