Daredevil is a cat who stays at Big Man's Cat Houses. He was named after Marvel's Daredevil since the cat is partially blind and has a mask-like marking over his head. After losing his mother, Daredevil became very ill and was moved from another city to the shelter so he could receive help.
Due to health problems, Daredevil is often at the vet and is not seen as frequently as the other cats.
Behavior
Daredevil is kind and sometimes playful with the other cats. Despite his injuries, he will chase them around the room. Some older cats scare him and he will hide from them, possibly due to the size difference. He meows for attention from humans with a deep scraggly voice.
Daredevil's legs can be slightly wobbly when he walks but do not seem to harm him. His eyesight is good enough that he can understand what is around him - he can track an object with his eyes but has been seen swatting at things and missing completely. He is prone to sneezing, likely due to a health issue.
Appearance
Daredevil is a white cat with large orange patches covering his body. His tail and a large portion of his back are fully orange. An orange patch sits around his neck and eyes. There is a small orange spot on his nose. His eyes are brown but glazed over due to blindness.
Sightings
September 2024
- September 1, 2024: Daredevil made his first appearance in a post on Jiemao, which explained he was recently moved from another city to receive veterinary help. Around this time, he spent a while inside the stray cat shed.
- September 7, 2024: Another video of Daredevil showed him using a scratchboard at the vet. He sneezed a couple of times and meowed in a scraggly voice to the cameraperson.
- September 10, 2024: At 1:07 PM (LFT), a box used to quarantine cats was set up in the indoor cat room for Daredevil. At around 1:15 PM (LFT), a Caretaker carried him inside and put him in the box. Ms. Pearl, Ball, Ms. Suduri, and Ms. Companion noticed the newcomer and came to investigate. Daredevil was more interested in eating the food inside the box.
- September 14, 2024:
- At around 5:23 PM (LFT), Daredevil watched as Mr. Mooncake came to investigate his cage. Daredevil's eyes tracked the cat's tail, showing he can see partially.
- At 5:05 PM (LFT), Daredevil was allowed to meet the cats for the first time. Coca-Cola immediately went inside and explored the box. The two cats played for a while before Coca-Cola left, Daredevil following soon after. He explored the room and stretched his legs by running around. He briefly chased Ms. Blueberry across the room. An unnamed orange cat sniffed at him before walking away. Daredevil attempted to swat at where he had been despite him being long gone. Around 10 minutes later, Daredevil hid under a shelf from the same orange cat. Coca-Cola joined him under the shelf and they played together.
