Mrs. Houdini is a cat who stays at Big Man's Cat Houses. She was named after how she escaped her cell and had to be put in further confinement for a week after she upset her father, Mr. Chaperone.
Mrs. Houdini has a cat profile on a feeder named 栖美地. It is possible she visited here before she was captured, and therefore so might have been Mr. Chaperone, Ms. Companion, and Ms. Tutu.
Behavior
Mrs. Houdini does not like to be kept in small spaces and will try to escape. It is unknown what she did, but she managed to "upset" Mr. Chaperone when she escaped her cell. However, it seems she simply wants to share her love as she is kind to the other cats and meows loudly for affection from humans. When they went to catch her, she happily wandered into the cat carrier.
Appearance
Mrs. Houdini is a brown tabby with dark stripes. She has white socks on her feet. There is a large white patch on her neck which extends up around her nose and ends between her green eyes.
Sightings
August 2024
- 28 August 2024: Sometime in the afternoon, Mrs. Houdini was first seen in the stray shed kept in a glass cage drinking water. She was put in here due to her managing to escape her previous confinement.
- 29 August 2024: Mrs. Houdini stuck her paws out of the holes in the glass to try and escape. She clawed at the rug that was at the opening of her cage and tried to drag it to her. She gave up on the endeavour and instead attempted to climb up the glass aimlessly. She held on for a long time, showing her strive to escape.
- 30 August 2024:
- In the early morning, Mrs. Houdini was allowed out of her cell. She went over to the feeder and sniffed at the food, looking very grumpy.
- At 9:02 AM (LFT), Mrs. Houdini was hiding behind the litter box in her cell.
- 31 August 2024: At 9:13 AM (LFT), Mrs. Houdini meowed loudly for attention from her cell as a Caretaker was giving Coca-Cola - the cat in the cell next to her - some medicine. When they went to leave, Mrs. Houdini jumped up at the glass and meowed, but got no attention as the person left.
September 2024
- 5 September 2024: On this day, Mrs. Houdini was brought to the vet. A video was posted of her meowing loudly at the person taking the video from inside a cage.
- 6 September 2024: Mrs. Houdini was brought back from the vet and placed into the cage at the back of the main room. A blanket was draped over it, likely so that she did not try to escape again and/or upset any of the cats.
- 7 September 2024:
- 8 September 2024: At 3:44 PM (LFT), Mrs. Houdini was curled up in the top platform of her cage.
- 11 September 2024:
- At 3:53 PM (LFT), a Caretaker opened Mrs. Houdini's cage. They watched the cat's reaction, but after she did not move, they picked her up and put her on the floor. She was allowed a small time to explore before she was put back inside.
- At 7:30 PM (LFT), Mrs. Houdini was freed of her cage again. She slowly looked around her new room, and ended up sniffing around the floor near the feeder and Coca-Cola's cage.
- 12 September 2024: At 9:21 AM (LFT), Mrs. Houdini looked at the window from the floor. She decided to jump on top of a feeder in order to see better.
- 13 September 2024: At 3:24 AM (LFT), Mrs. Houdini was curled up in her cage.
