The Ancient Beast
The Ancient Beast is a visitor at the Kitty Corner feeder. While it is quite possible he showed up before the feeder began undergoing documentation in the English community, he has only began showing up (again?) recently. He is often referred to as 'TAB' for short.
Behavior
The Ancient Beast is usually alone on his sightings. He often stays at the feeder for ten minutes or more, and most of that time is spent in idle, sitting up right at the feeder doing absolutely nothing (similar to Brother Calm). His intimidating and otherworldly presence is seemingly picked up on by other cats, as they tend to give him space or run away entirely despite him not actually becoming aggressive towards them. Although his age is unknown, he gives off the general impression that he is wise with years of experience. He usually shows up in the middle of the night or early morning.
Appearance
The Ancient Beast is a rather standard looking brown tabby. His belly and lower face are a lighter shade of brown. He is slightly larger than the average cat, similar in size to Mr. Hopper. He is also quite (extremely) fat, with a prominent sagging belly. His eyes are green.
Sightings
September 2024
- September 11, 2024: Around 3:30 AM (LFT), The Ancient Beast made his first documented visit to the feeder. He sat still for a while, glaring at the feeder until it finally relented and fed him. He ate ravenously, truly living up to his title as a 'Beast'. He sat down about five minutes later and loafed in front of the bowl. He finally got up and left at 3:47 AM (LFT).
- September 17 2024: At 9:08 AM (LFT), The Ancient Beast showed his face yet again. This time he spent most of his time eating, which he did so quite well. He left a few minutes later.
October 2024
- October 2, 2024: In the morning, 9:32 AM (LFT), TAB made an appearance at Kitty Corner. He ate the feeder for a bit, lingered there like usual, before leaving.
- October 4, 2024: At 7:53 AM (LFT), The Ancient Beast was caught staring into the distance at the feeder. When an smaller orange cat approached, TAB simply starred at it. Feeling intimated by this mighty beast, the other cat ran off. Despite more food being donated by watchers, TAB did not eat. He continued this ritual until leaving at 8:08 AM.
- October 5, 2024: At 9:18 AM (LFT), TAB briefly made an appearance at the feeder. He took a few bites in between checking his surroundings, then left.
(Not every cat sighting is documented.)
