Coal Ball Baby is a cat which appeared in the video "Coal Ball Baby😳 bewildered by being hit with freeze-dried food"[1]. The video, just as it implies, shows Coal Ball Baby getting shocked and getting hit with Freeze-dried chicken snacks. His name comes from his dark coating and small, fluffy appearance during the time that this video was captured. Coal Ball Baby can be seen at the Eat Enough Every Day (每天都能吃饱饱) feeder. Coal Ball Baby is one of the the Coal Miners, alongside his brothers Coal Ball Brother and Batman Coal Ball.
Behavior
Despite his earliest appearance, where he was shown to be very bewildered, Coal Ball Baby has become notably more relaxed as he's aged. He no longer fears the feeder, and continues eating even as snacks are being dropped. He has also been observed at the feeder with several other cats, suggesting he is friendly.
Appearance
Coal Ball Baby is a tuxedo cat, with a white belly and neck. In its original sighting, Coal Ball Baby was a small fluffy kitten who resembled a ball of coal. More recently, Coal Ball Baby has been observed to be larger than its famous video and less fluffy, although still distinctly coal shaped. Coal Ball Baby is often confused with his brother, Coal Ball Brother, but can be distinguished by his chin, which is mostly white with a black dot.
Sightings
November 2023
- November 11, 2023: At an unknown time, Coal Ball Baby appeared in the feeder and ate chicken snacks before being hit by donated snacks. This is when the "Coal Ball Baby😳 bewildered by being hit with freeze-dried food"[1] video was captured.
April 2024
- April 22, 2024: At around 08:10 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen eating at the feeder alongside Big Bicolored Orange Cat That Loves to Sleep and Ms. Covergirl. As Coal Ball Baby ate, he got snacked like he did in his famous video, although rather than jumping away in surprise, this time Coal Ball Baby continued eating.
- April 23, 2024: At approximately 08:00 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby ate at the feeder.
- April 24, 2024: Coal Ball Baby was seen approaching the feeder at around 04:26 PM (LFT). As he entered, kibble and snacks were donated, which he ate. He remained in the feeder for some time, leaving at 04:41 PM (LFT). At around 11:00 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen at the feeder again.
May 2024
- May 01, 2024: At around 05:10 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen at the feeder.
- May 03, 2024: Coal Ball Baby approached the feeder at around 05:57 PM (LFT) and sniffed at the nearly empty bowl for a short while until kibble was donated, which he ate.
- May 06, 2024: At 06:00 AM (LFT), Coal Ball appeared at the feeder and ate for a while.
- May 07, 2024: At 01:35 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen going for a leisurely stroll around the feeder. He returned to the feeder at 07:52 PM (LFT) and stared at the empty feeder bowl.
- May 09, 2024: Coal Ball Baby entered the feeder at 04:29 PM (LFT) and ate some kibble before leaving. He returned to the feeder at around 09:53 PM (LFT) to eat again.
- May 13, 2024: At 07:27 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby was seen in the feeder, where he stared into the empty bowl in hopes of summoning food donations.
- May 28, 2024: At around 04:43 PM (LFT), Coal Ball Baby entered the feeder to eat. He left a minute later, although swiftly returned when snacks were donated shortly after he'd exited.
- May 30, 2024: Coal Ball Baby was seen eating at the feeder at approximately 11:31 PM (LFT) alongside Big Bicolored Orange Cat That Loves to Sleep. He was very friendly with Big Bicolored Orange Cat That Loves to Sleep and waited for him to finish eating, assuming the loaf position while he did.
