Ms. Horseshoe is a visitor at the Duck Feeder. She is named for the horseshoe patterns on both her back and her forehead in addition to the fact she posed like a horse during her first appearance. Since her second recorded sighting, she became known for curling up inside the feeder bowl. On June 19, 2024, Ms. Horseshoe curled up into the feeder again for 39 minutes after Mr. Squeeze attacked her.
Behavior
Ms. Horseshoe is wary of other cats. She will hiss and swat at them if they get too close.
Ms. Horseshoe has a peculiar way of curling up into the feeder. She has done this twice on record; The first time, she did it voluntarily to relax. The second time Mr. Squeeze had attacked her and she retreated into the feeder, where she stayed for 39 minutes. She seems to enjoy staying in it, even after viewers dispensed food onto her back.
Appearance
Ms. Horseshoe has very distinct patterns that make it easy to tell her apart from other cats at the feeder. She has a TNR ear. She is a blotched brown tabby, though most of her coat is pure white. The only tabby parts are arranged in curved shapes that look like horseshoes.
Sightings
March 2024
- March 11, 2024: At around 04:30 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe was spotted for the first time, devouring the kibble with great gluttony. She posed like a rearing horse during her feast, giving her the name Ms. Horseshoe.
- March 21, 2024: At around 04:00 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe was seen relaxing inside of the bowl. She was blessed with the gift of kibble being dispensed onto her back, which eventually led to her getting fed up and exiting the feeder. When leaving, the kibble on her back scattered everywhere and made a mess.
- March 22, 2024: At 01:36 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe was seen relaxing in the bowl again, blocking other cats from accessing the food. After laying down for a bit, she ate some kibble in the bowl. At one point she assumed the position of a loaf, before turning around and eating some more kibble (which she also got sprinkled with). After getting a nice rest and a meal she finally left at 01:59 AM (LFT).
April 2024
- April 26, 2024: Around 11:40 PM (LFT), Ms Horseshoe was spotted partaking in the kibble from the bowl. At some point, another gift of kibble was delivered, in which she also partook. She continued making horse-like noises while eating, occasionally pausing to look over her shoulder.
May 2024
- May 05, 2024: Around 11:40 PM (LFT), She ate some kibble.
- May 09, 2024: At around 12:05 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe was spotted laying in the feeder bowl, while Mr. Dao was watching her. After Mr. Dao left him alone, she ate some kibble and left at 12:20 AM (LFT).
- May 15, 2024: Ms. Horseshoe was spotted eating a late dinner at the feeder. After begging for and eating the food from viewers for about 10 minutes, she decided the most comfortable place to take a nap was loafed inside the dispenser.
June 2024
- June 17, 2024: At 12:43 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe arrived to eat kibble. She hopped up on the wall to watch something but was brought down by kibble being dispensed. At 12:54 AM, she saw something and jumped over the other side to run away.
- June 18, 2024: At 12:46 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe snuck up on Mr. Bentley at the feeder. Mr. Bentley sniffed at her and went back to eating. She looked scared, but slowly kept moving closer while he wasn't looking to sniff him. Because Mr. Bentley didn't react other than looking at her, she tried to move for the food, but Mr. Bentley reared up and she moved back quickly. He left because of this, which allowed Ms. Horseshoe to move in and eat. At 1:05 AM, Ms. Horseshoe got scared of something and jumped the fence - much like a horse.

- June 19, 2024: At 12:37 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe came to eat at the feeder. At 12:41 AM (LFT), Mr. Squeeze approached her. The two cats fought, and it scared Ms. Horseshoe into curling up in the feeder. As Mr. Squeeze ran away after swatting at Ms. Horseshoe, Mrs. Exclamation Mark came to join the party. All cats reached a stalemate as Ms. Horseshoe continued to lay in the food bowl, stopping anyone from eating and making them rather confused. Ms. Blanket and Mr. Ink also arrived at the feeder a few minutes later. Viewers donated food so that it would pile up on Ms. Horseshoe's back. At 12:59 AM, enough food piled up that Ms. Horseshoe started eating it off of her own back. At 1:18 AM, Ms. Horseshoe seemed scared of something that made her leave the feeder. Food was scattered everywhere as she got up and jumped the fence.
- June 21, 2024: At 11:10 PM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe came to the feeder. She ate so quickly it looked as though the stream was sped up. At 11:18 PM, she departed.
- June 29, 2024: At 2:54 (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe appeared soon after Mr. Virtue had left. She ate, then left at 3:03 AM.
- June 30, 2024: At 10:18 PM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe came to the feeder. She ate very quickly and kept looking around. She left at 10:26 PM.
July 2024
- July 1, 2024: At 10:49 PM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe came to the feeder while Ants were invading. She was extremely confused at the amount of ants in the feeder, but proceeded to eat anyway. She kept flinching and moving back while she ate, as she probably had ants in her mouth. At one point, she tried to put her paws in her mouth to try and remove the ants. At 11 PM she got scared and left, either because of the ants or since Mr. Blotch was approaching the feeder.
- July 2, 2024: At 2:25 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe approached the feeder. She munched happily until Mr. Squeeze approached and began growling at her. She paused for a moment before continuing to eat, unbothered. Mr. Squeeze continued to watch her. She left around 2:32 AM.
- July 11, 2024: At 1:54 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe was spotted eating at the feeder. She stayed at the feeder for 5 minutes, alternating between eating kibble and watching behind her back, presumably because Mr. Bentley was there.
- July 12, 2024: At 1:56 AM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe entered the feeder as a Mount Snack was taking place. She very quickly started eating the snacks and ate as much as she could before she was full (despite looking like she wanted to eat more). At 2:00 AM (LFT), Mr. Sonic appeared next to the feeder. She watched him curiously but got scared when Mr. Sonic came to her side of the feeder and ran away.
- July 15, 2024: At 8:06 PM (LFT), Ms. Horseshoe approached Mr. Sweetpea at the feeder. Unusually, she had no trouble approaching him or eating while he was behind her. Mr. Sweetpea left shortly afterwards, leaving her to eat. At 8:14 PM, Mr. Blotch arrived at the feeder. He tried to get closer when Ms. Horseshoe got scared and climbed into the feeder bowl, growling at him. Mr. Blotch seemed deeply confused, and slowly backed away to leave. She got out around 4 minutes later when food was dispensed. At 1:27 PM, she left the feeder due to Mr. Sweetpea returning.
