Ms. Lotus, is one of the many ragdoll cats found at the Team BingBing Helps Stray Cats Find Their Forever Home compound. She was named after the Lotus Casino, a fictional casino location found in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians, novel series[1]. Which was done in order to follow the Gangster/Yakuza theme of names within the Team BingBing feeder.
The name, Ms. Lotus, is accompanied by the triage of Ragdoll cats at the feeder, Ms. Aphrodite and Mr. Caesar, named after casinos/Greek Gods.
Lotus had first joined the compound in 2023, abandoned by their owner. Whereas her Chinese name (纠结伦) is a pun off of the Chinese name of Jay Chou (Zhou Jie Lun).
Behavior
Lotus is most frequently spotted lazing around the feeder, sleeping and cuddling with the other cats, and taking shelter in the feeder's warmth. When Lotus is spotted at the feeders not sleeping, she tends to eat periodically and leave quickly after getting her fill. Lastly, she tends to allow the other cats to cut her in line while trying to eat from the feeder, although after glaring at the other cat while they feast on the food available at the feeder.
Appearance
Ms. Lotus sports an extremely fluffy fur coat, appearing wispy in comparison to the other cats due to the extra length of her fur. While she had extremely fierce eyes, and an extremely grumpy face which is how she is identified. One could say that her default facial expression is a frown. Whereas in comparison to the other Ragdolls at the feeder compound, her coat is grayer and is quite monotone in its color scale; having less saturation that the others.
Sightings
May 2024
- May 17, 2024: Ms. Lotus was first spotted by the English Community at Feeder 3, around 08:57AM (LFT). She sniffed around the feeder, while waiting for another cat to finish eating from the feeder, presumably waiting her turn to eat.
- May 18, 2024: Lotus was spotted loitering at Feeder 2 around 06:07AM (LFT), inching closer to eat from the feeder until she was abruptly interrupted by another cat cutting her place in line to eat. She was quite upset.
- May 20, 2024: Again, Ms. Lotus was spotted at Feeder 2 around 06:32AM (LFT), awaiting her turn in line to eat from the feeder, until she was- yet again- cut in line to eat from the feeder. At that slight, she appeared extremely upset and stared down the other cat until they were done eating.
- May 31, 2024: At Feeder 2, while Ms. Poodle was taking a nap, Ms. Lotus joined her, and they began napping together. It was around 05:38AM (LFT).
June 2024
- June 03, 2024: Spotted at Feeder 1, Lotus had appeared around 12:42PM, jumping down from the top of the feeder, that had originally been occupied by Ms. Enkozume. Lotus ended up cutting Enko in order to steal the recently disposed snacks that had been for Enko in the feeder.
- June 05, 2024: At Feeder 2, Lotus joined Mr. Kaomoji who had been sleeping. She ate from the feeder bowl, then joined in on the sleeping group. It was 02:46AM (LFT).
- June 07, 2024: Lotus was extremely deep in sleep at Feeder 2, until she was jolted awake to eat. Another unnamed cat then joined her at the feeder to eat, this was around 08:40AM (LFT).
- June 14, 2024: At Feeder 2, Lotus joined another orange cat who had been sat at the feeder eating. This orange cat had been eating aggressively to the point of Lotus feeling perturbed. She left shortly after that eating episode, this was around 05:53AM (LFT).
December 2024
- December 03, 2024: Ms. Lotus was spotted sleeping around Feeder 2 at 01:27PM (LFT), she slept for a long time.
- December 30, 2024: Lotus was yet again, spotted at Feeder 2 sleeping at 01:34AM (LFT). She had slept until around 08:47AM (LFT), when she began to stir awake in order to awaken for her breakfast. Fully awoken, she began begging the feeder for a disposal of food, but when directly back to sleep afterwards.
January 2025
- January 08, 2025: Lotus was spotted sleeping again at Feeder 2 around 07:32AM (LFT), she had then been joined by a pretty calico cat who attempted to eat from the feeder, however Lotus's long body blocked them from accessing the feeder's bowl.
